Although not Irish by birth, Saint Patrick is most often associated with Ireland. Originally brought to the country as an enslaved person, he escaped, only to return as a Christian missionary determined to bring the faith to the Celtic people. Saint Patrick is also the Patron of the Archdiocese of Boston.
